The merit badge program is one of Boy Scouting's basic character-developing tools. Earning merit badges gives a boy the kind of confidence that comes from learning and developing skills to achieve a goal.
Each merit badge class will have an instructor and one or more merit badge counselors (at least one for every 20 Scouts). See the volunteer page to learn more about applying to become a merit badge counselor
The PowWow classes are taught by experts in a group setting, along with merit badge counselors who work with Scouts. Remember, Scouts must complete all merit badge requirements in addition to attending group instruction.
* These merit badges have at least one requirement that must be completed before the BYU Merit Badge PowWow. Please view the worksheet beforehand to see which requirements will need extra time to complete.
